Strategic planning at SHN
Scarborough Health Network (SHN) is “Reimagining Care” to refresh and refocus our Strategic Plan for 2024 and beyond. With the ever-changing healthcare landscape, including the evolving needs and expectations of our community and health system partners, it is vital for us to continually assess, identify and prioritize what is most important for delivering exceptional quality healthcare for Scarborough.
We are committed to taking a bold, visionary approach in the healthcare sector, with a focus on system integration and partnerships, and “breaking down walls” across the care continuum. This is not just about “connecting the dots” more effectively—it is about reimagining how and where SHN delivers care, and our role in driving change across the broader health ecosystem.
What is a Strategic Plan?
SHN’s strategic plan defines our organization’s goals and the actions we will take to achieve them. This multi-year plan will include SHN’s vision and mission statements, long-term goals (as well as short-term, yearly objectives), and an action plan of the steps we are going to take to move in the right direction.
When will the new plan be ready?
SHN will be undertaking this new strategic planning process over the next several months. We are targeting January 2024 to launch our new Strategic Plan.
Engaging our community
We look forward to hearing from stakeholders across our hospital and community. This includes Scarborough residents and community partners, as well as health system partners and providers, and SHN staff, medical staff, learners, and volunteers. Your perspective is incredibly important to us.
