Committed to listening and raising the voices of our patients and their families, we’re building upon our successes and achievements, and finding new ways to deliver exceptional quality care for you and your loved ones. Our new strategic plan is taking a bold, visionary approach in the healthcare sector and is grounded in the needs of our community.
What This Means
Effectively serving our community means meeting people where they are, to better understand the nuances of their specific needs and how we can respond accordingly. This means going beyond our walls, adapting research and education efforts to the specific health conditions experienced among our community, and working with health system partners to provide seamless and coordinated care.
Strategic Directions
SHN’s strategic plan defines our goals and the actions needed to achieve them. Built on key sets of population and health data that identify trends across Scarborough and Ontario, these five directions will drive us forward:

Love, Scarborough
As the Network’s second largest funder, SHN Foundation will continue as a key partner and enabler in executing our Strategic Plan 2024-2029—the Love, Scarborough fundraising campaign is essential to how our health network and community will advance into the future. In fact, our five-year plan has been developed to align closely with SHN Foundation’s new Strategic Plan 2024-2029.
Working together, we will Build It Forward for Scarborough, investing in new buildings and facilities, new technology and state-of-the-art equipment, and forging transformative relationships with partners and donors.
