The Paediatric Pearls Conference is an annual medical education event held by Scarborough Health Network’s (SHN) Department of Paediatrics, in conjunction with the University of Toronto Family and Community Medicine. This conference is a dynamic and practical program that is directed to address the needs of the local community primary care office practice. A variety of topics in general paediatrics and neonatology are discussed and evaluated to improve the management of common paediatric referrals.

Each year, our Paediatric Pearls Conference brings together more than 500 physicians, medical students, residents, and clinical educators. Our aim is to share ideas, challenge current practices, and innovate in order to advance paediatric medicine in par with today’s medical instruments and needs.
