Scarborough Health Network (SHN) is proud to celebrate Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologist (MRIT) Week!
This year, #MRITWeek2023 runs from November 5-11, and SHN would like to thank those in radiological technology, nuclear medicine, ultrasound or magnetic resonance imaging, computed tomography, and interventional radiology, as they provide compassionate care to millions of Canadians each year.
As we join with other organizations across the country in celebrating these highly skilled, dedicated frontline Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologist (MRIT) professionals, we also recognize the essential role they play in our healthcare system.
MRIT professionals deliver imaging and radiation-related treatment services with a caring touch, allowing patients to fully benefit from the latest in medical diagnostic and treatment technology.
Over the past year, approximately 140 MRITs performed over 325,000 exams across all three of our hospitals in Diagnostic Imaging.
