SCARBOROUGH (June 12, 2020) – Working in collaboration with Sienna Senior Living, Scarborough Health Network (SHN) has assumed temporary management of Altamont Care Community effective June 8, 2020, as directed by the Government of Ontario. Moreover, the COVID-19 outbreak at Altamont is declared over by Toronto Public Health as of today.
“This is certainly fantastic news and we look forward to supporting Altamont residents, families, and team members as we continue to implement sustainable best practices to maintain a healthy home,” said Elizabeth Buller, President and CEO, SHN.
For more than six weeks, SHN has been privileged to support the residents and team members at Altamont Care Community in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic. We are extremely appreciative of our staff and doctors who are making this possible, and we acknowledge Altamont’s team for their courage and resilience,” Buller added.
