SHN celebrating Heart Month with Community Talks

Community invited to heart health education events

February is Heart Month, and Scarborough Health Network (SHN) is inviting community members to come have a “heart to heart” about their cardiovascular health.

SHN’s cardiac care program will be hosting its annual Heart to Heart Community Talks in February for residents to come learn about improving their heart health and achieving a better quality lifestyle. The event will feature a panel of expert hospital staff, including exercise therapists, nurse practitioners, a dietitian, and pharmacist. The panel will have a free-flowing discussion with attendees about a number of heart health topics. Community members will also hear from a cardiac patient who will share their story and experience.
