Scarborough Is Rising—Join the Movement
Chapter 3 of our Love, Scarborough fundraising campaign launched this month with our newest commercial, “Scarborough Ascending.” Scarborough may sit above Toronto geographically, but we have faced uphill challenges for decades. The commercial, filmed on the Scarborough Bluffs, delivers a powerful message: Scarborough is rising—and we are doing it together.
Scarborough Health Network (SHN) and SHN Foundation serve over 630,000 residents—nearly a quarter of Toronto’s population—across three hospitals and several community-based locations.
Our team brings creativity, bold ideas, and deep community connection to every patient, every day. That mindset continues to shape SHN as a place where innovation meets excellence. Each year, we provide care for:
- 221,000 emergency visits
- 96,000 dialysis treatments
- 64,000 surgeries
Behind these numbers are real people: families, neighbours, and friends who rely on SHN. They reflect the scale of our work and the urgent need for expanded health services. That is why we are modernizing facilities, strengthening access to care for our diverse and growing community.
The Ontario Government has committed $1 billion to SHN projects, and donors have already contributed $200 million through Love, Scarborough. But there is more to do.
