Department of Laboratory Pathology
Dr. Mojgan Asgari has been employed at SHN as a Pathology Assistant since 2021 and successfully passed her Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada exams in 2024.
She is an Anatomical Pathologist with extensive international experience in both pathology and academic medicine. She completed her residency in Anatomical and Clinical Pathology at Iran University of Medical Sciences and later pursued a fellowship in Renal Pathology at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.
Before joining SHN, Dr. Asgari held several leadership roles, including Chair of the Pathology Department at Iran University of Medical Sciences and Director of the Surgical Pathology Laboratory at Hasheminejad Kidney Center. She has also served as a professor of pathology and contributed to curriculum development and academic governance.
Her areas of special interest include renal and urological pathology. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and remains actively involved in academic research and international pathology organizations.
