On Saturday, October 26, SHN is hosting the Breast Health and Awareness Seminar for Black Communities in partnership with The Olive Branch of Hope, Scarborough Ontario Health Team, Scarborough Centre for Healthy Communities, Black Physicians’ Association of Ontario, Black Health Alliance, Gilead Oncology, Central East Regional Cancer Program, and Toronto Central Regional Cancer Program!

This event aims to provide Black communities with culturally relevant information about breast health, seminars, and screening in a safe and inclusive space. By increasing awareness and breast screenings in medically underrepresented communities, we can help reduce barriers to equitable health care.

What can you expect?

By joining this event, participants can look forward to:

  • Expert seminars and panel discussions;
  • On-site mammograms (health card required);
  • Wellness activities;
  • Complimentary lunch;
  • Music;
  • Giveaways;
  • And much more!

Stay tuned for when we announce the healthcare specialists who will be facilitating the panel discussions!
