Scarborough and Rouge Hospital (SRH) is proud to announce that Fairchild Radio will return to SRH’s General site to host a live fundraising radiothon on June 14 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Proceeds from this year’s event will support SRH’s pursuit to develop a new chronic disease community health care hub in Scarborough’s Bridletowne neighbourhood.

The live broadcast on Fairchild’s AM 1430 station will feature touching interviews from staff, physicians, and patients in SRH’s kidney disease and diabetes program. Guests will speak about their specialized areas of care, their personal and professional experiences with health care, and the urgent need for life-sustaining dialysis treatments for those living with kidney disease in Scarborough.

Listeners of Fairchild Radio AM 1430 can make a donation on Thursday June 14 to Scarborough and Rouge Hospital by:

  • Calling – 416-431-8152 (local) between 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Online – visiting srhfoundation.ca/fairchild
  • In person – stopping by the radiothon booth in the main lobby at SRH’s General site located at 3050 Lawrence Avenue East (McCowan & Lawrence) in Scarborough
  • Fairchild Radio – donations will be received in person by visiting Fairchild Radio’s office at 151 Esna Park Drive, Unit 26-29 in Markham during business hours.

All donors contributing $20 or more will receive a charitable donation tax receipt.
