Miguel Magtibay gave an excited “thumbs up” as one of the first patients to be welcomed back to the 3rd floor Margaret Birch Wing at Centenary for its reopening on November 8 following a fire in September.

“We’re so grateful for the exceptional level of care our staff and physicians have provided to patients while they’ve been on alternate units, and for the tremendous amount of work that has gone into reopening the 3 Margaret Birch Wing in less than two months,” said Mark Vimr, Executive Vice President of Clinical Programs at SRH.

Prior to welcoming patients back, staff and physicians gathered to celebrate the reopening. Aaisha Savvas, Patient Care Manager of 3 Margaret Birch, recognized the individual contributions of staff members that day with personalized thank you cards.

“It’s an honour to work with such an outstanding group of health care professionals who demonstrate the very best of what our health network has to offer,” said Aaisha.
