It’s Patient Experience Week (PX) 2025! This annual celebration is dedicated to recognizing the incredible efforts of healthcare staff and community members who enhance the patient experience every day. Inspired by The Beryl Institute, PX Week is SHN’s chance to spotlight innovative achievements, rejuvenate our commitment, and honour the diverse teams that make a positive impact on patient care.

From nurses and physicians, support staff and executive professionals, to patients, families, and the Scarborough community, countless individuals work tirelessly to ensure each patient’s journey is exceptional.

In the past year, our team’s unwavering dedication to compassionate care has been nothing short of extraordinary. Their teamwork and empathy have ensured that patients receive the care they need, when and where they need it. We extend our deepest gratitude to the entire SHN community for their courage, compassion, and leadership.

How SHN is elevating the patient experience

At SHN, we aim to enhance the overall patient experience through the improvement of quality of care. One strategy used to measure and monitor quality during a patient and their family’s care journey is through the collection of feedback. SHN collects this feedback by routinely utilizing patient surveys—both post-discharge and on units via the Qualtrics tool.

Please note: Qualtrics Patient Experience surveys are anonymous and are not meant to capture any personal patient information.

If you would like to share a concern, compliment, or any personal feedback, please connect with your healthcare team or contact Patient Relations through our online Patient Relations Contact Form.

Everyone has a role to play in the patient experience. Our team’s commitment to our patients and communities, especially during challenging times, is profoundly appreciated. Please join us this week in celebrating their achievements, particularly in nurturing a kinder, more compassionate, and person-centred health network.
