Announcing SHN’s next Chief Medical Information Officer

As Scarborough Health Network (SHN) continues to build on our achievements in data and technology, Dr. Elaine Yeung, Chief of Staff, became the Network’s Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) in September.

In today’s healthcare landscape, the ability to harness data effectively is more critical than ever. Dr. Yeung’s excellent candidacy for this role stems from her passion for advancing the quality of patient care through technology, and her instrumental leadership in SHN’s successful implementation of the Epic clinical information system in 2021.

With this new role, Dr. Yeung will continue to serve as Chief of Staff, and has stepped down from her position as Executive Vice President (EVP) Medical. SHN will be undergoing a search for a new EVP Medical.

SHN thanks Dr. Yeung’s predecessor Dr. Naresh Mohan, whose leadership was integral to SHN’s advancements in clinical technology, for his incredible work as the previous CMIO.
